About two or three miles from my house, a chemical plant exploded. There was a really large noise, like thunder, but louder, at about three AM. It woke my parents and I up. We thought it was an earthquake.

Several homes were leveled, but mine seems to be okay. Brenda lives closer to the area than I do, but her and her family are all right, thank god. It's so scary to think that had I not moved, my house would have been destroyed.

No one died, thankfully, and only about 12 or 13 were injured. They were not life threatening, but I am worried about them.

DHS is being used as a shelter, so school is cancelled today. I hardly even care about that.

This is unbelieveably scary.
